Discovered by Patti LaBelle (when she was on the revival tour of “BOX”) as a teen Robert soon followed in that legends footsteps as an Amatuer Night Winner at the world famous Apollo Theater! Inspired by such great soul men like Luther Vandross, Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Peabo Bryson, Prince, Lionel Ritchie and Michael Jackson…Robert has sung every genre of music from Bach to Ellington and from Usher to Earth, Wind & Fire!

Gee’s stellar talents don’t end with singing, he is an accomplished actor/dancer who has starred in lead roles in outstanding theater productions such as The Wiz, Ain’t Misbehavin, Pippin, Body Language, Cy Colemans “The Life” and Jesus Christ Superstar which was the first “Rock style” theater production to ever play The Grand Opera House in Yerivan, Armenia! Most recently Robert was seen in Don B. Welch’s 1st Lady Of Zion.

Robert Gee has received rave reviews for his stage work by the LA Times, LA Weekly and Backstage West and NoHo Reporter. He made his screen debut in The Little Richard Story as “Bossman.” Most notably, he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Theater in 2006 for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Michael Ajakwe’s Body Language.

It was a life long dream com true in 2008 when Robert revealed his songwriting and producing capabilities to the world. With the release of his debut CD titled All My Love to critical acclaim! The CD was well received in London that the summer of it’s release the song “Here We Go” held down the #1 spot on the world Famous Morpheus Soul Show’s Top 5 Countdown for 3 weeks consecutively!

The title song “All My Love” is featured in the indie film “Misunderstandings”.

As a background artist Robert has worked with some of the music industry royalty such as Luther Vandross, Atlantic Starr, Teena Marie, Vesta Williams, Bee Bee Winans, Darryl Coley, Tevin Campbell the legendary Emotions, Kashif and Loose Ends!

But it is Roberts commanding stage presence and reputation as a show stopper that won him the 2010 Black Music Associations Best R&B Vocal Male Award! Gee’s soulful voice also caught the attention of 111 East Records and he is one of the featured artist on their 2010 release, Nu Soul After Dark Compilation Vol 1!

With a music video on BET’s new centrictv.com, singersroom.com and youtube.com, the future looks bright and the time is right because Robert Gee’s star is on the rise!
