Ms. Monique draws her influences from Soul Veterans like Al Green, Aretha, Gladys and Otis Redding. All of the vocalist who never cared to water down they’re sound to be accepted and that always inspired her. It is what she calls the tell-it-like-it-is music and she knew at an early age that she wanted to produce a style of music that was expressive and real. Although that was going against the grain of modern day music this Bona-fied Sassy Sexy Diva never seemed to care and choose to do her.
She grew up in South Florida and later moved to Atlanta Georgia where she eventually was able to gain a great deal of International Attention with her 1st Album “Soul Sessions Chapter 1”. Present Day she has completed her Sophomore Album “SHE MOTIONS” In stores November 2012 ..all while she continues to travel all over the world spreading her passion for music all over the world.
