Leonard "Remix" RroyI am the Chicago DJ that coined the phrase “House Music” as stated in a 1994 interview by Farley “Jackmaster” Funk in the book “What Kind of House Party is this!? I’ve been featured in numerous articles about House Music, blogs and appear in the documentary film “The Unusual Suspects: Once Upon a Time in House Music.” In 2009, I was nominated as on of the 100 Most Influential DJs in Chicago House Music History. I’ve played at various Clubs in Chicago, Georgia, Florida, Germany & Korea over the years. I won the 2012 Edit contest on Deep House Page, played 4 venues at the 2013 Winter Music Conference in Miami Florida and wrote the book “From the Root to the Fruit of House Music” My next musical release is due to be out December 1, 2013.   1. I just want to say this was a great interview. Being a big house fan from back in the mid 80s, when we used run down to the record shop every week to find the next set of 12″ from Trax, DJ International and all them, this felt like a really authentic and unprententious account of the history of house.
