Founding of Gene Douglas records with the goal to combine former and forthcoming activities (and labels) under one roof. Starts with the work on a new album in his music studio in Baar. Production of CD-compilations and active as music designer and DJ.
2005-07
Moves to Zurich. He is active as DJ and produces several CD compilations.
2000-04
Founding of the record label Almost Heaven Records in Cannes.
Active as music designer for La Bodega, Papagayo und Nikki-Beach Club in Saint-Tropez.
Various productions of Almost Heaven Records reach a placing in the Top 20 “For The Record DEF MIX Charts” in New York.
1998-99
Remixes of the hits, amongst others, „Shaft“ from Isaac Hayes, „Krazy People“ from Nalin & Kane and „Sunshine & Happiness“ from Darryl Pandy.
1997
Founding of the record label GD-Records in London.
1996
Founding of his first record label Velvet Records. Setting up and management of the European wide first live mix radio show „Midnight House“, on the German radio stations Antenne 1 and Sunshine Live, which became famous internationally.
1994-95
Works as DJ at the Queens Club in Paris. After this mandate he gets an annual contract at the Save the Robots Club in New York, where he works as resident DJ. This together with Super Dmitri, member of the band Deee-Lite.
1992-93
Responsible for the music concepts at the clubs Studio Circus, Blitz und Whisky & Gogo in Cannes and Nizza.
1986-91
Goes to the USA where he lives for several years. In New York he discovers Chicago House music for himself through Frankie Knuckles (DEF MIX Productions). During this time he also works at TTM Studios in Munich as co-producer and produces for various record-labels such as Kult Records, Henry Street Records, Freebass Records, Soundmen On Wax Records and ZYX Music.
1984-85
Moves to Munich, where he works as DJ at internationally known clubs, such as Charly M, P1 and Maximilian.
1981-83
Start of his career as DJ in his hometown Stuttgart and in Baden-Baden, where he gets quickly famous for his US Soul Music sound at the Perkins Park Club and at Griffins.

Gene Douglas was born on April 26, 1963 in Stutttgart.
