<itunes:summary>Twin Cities began when Analog Jones and Guynamite first met at CDR, the legendary producers night at London’s Plastic People. Having decided to work together they immediately hit it off in the studio and had their first demo ‘Quarter Lebanese’ featuring Krystal Hardwick played on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide show on Radio 1.

Guy Benton A.K.A. Guynamite is a classically trained musician with a rich variety of projects under his belt from arranging string sections through to producing hip-hop and arranging 80’s-tinged soul ballads. He has released his own music through Mukatsuku and other productions on Burntprogress, Guynamukat, Boglewaltz and FYE.

Gareth ‘Analog’ Jones began as a fan and record collector before making music became an irresistible urge. Starting out as a radio producer, sound engineer and writer, the transition into creating in the studio with recording artists was a natural one. His solo material emerged on Sweden’s Flogsta Danshall label as well as Boglewaltz and Burntprogress...

<itunes:summary>Born to R&B/Soul music royalty, most people know her simply as the daughter of late Soul music legend, Donny Hathaway. But there is more to her than that. A trained pianist and vocalist, she is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music and her career has spanned two decades. 21 years after the release of her first LP, her career continues to thrive.

It was 1990 when Lalah made her music debut on Virgin Records with the self-titled album Lalah Hathaway, effortlessly fusing elements of R&B, Jazz and Pop. The resonance in her voice immediately struck a chord with music lovers and her first single “Heaven Knows” solidified her place in R&B music. The disc also spawned the hit “Baby Don’t Cry” and featured fan favorites “Somethin’ ” and “I’m Coming Back.” It was evident that Lalah not only had the voice, but the talent to carry on her father’s legacy while shaping her own musical destination. Lalah distinctly set herself apart from other R&B artists of the time by making music that was true to her heart. In 1994, Lalah released her much-anticipated 2nd album A Moment with “Let Me Love You” serving as the album’s lead single. A Moment saw Lalah exploring several music sounds including sampling elements of New Jack-Swing and funk, but not shying far away from her soul and jazz roots. The project also included the Sly & the Family Stone remake “It’s a Family Affair,” and the soul-stirring, fan favorite ballad “Separate Ways.”

1999 brought the release of the critically acclaimed duet CD The Song Lives On with legendary jazz musician Joe Sample. The songs “Fever” and “When Your Life Was Low” helped to broaden her audience and further establish her name with jazz music fans, while continuing to leave an impression on audiences worldwide...

<itunes:summary>While he is perhaps best known for the No. 1 smash hit “Ghostbusters”, Ray Parker, Jr. has enjoyed quite a versatile career, not only as a much sought-after guitarist, but with a number of other hits to his credit, as a performer, songwriter and producer.

Born May 1, 1954, in Detroit, MI, Ray started out as a session guitarist, while still in high school, playing on sessions recorded for the legendary Holland Dozier Holland labels, Hot Wax and Invictus, whose roster included Freda Payne, Honey Cone, Chairman of the Board, 100 Proof Aged in Soul, Laura Lee, and 8th Wonder. He’d also play behind the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, the Spinners, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and other Motown luminaries when they appeared at the Twenty Grand Club. In 1972, Stevie Wonder called 18 year old Ray Parker to ask him to play behind him on a tour he was doing with the Rolling Stones. Ray thought it was a crank call and hung up the phone. Stevie Wonder called back and convinced Parker that he was the real deal by singing “Superstition” to him! During the next 2 years, Ray Parker played on Stevie Wonder’s albums, Talking Book and Innervisions.

Moving from Detroit to Los Angeles, Parker got into session work playing on sides by Leon Haywood, Barry White, arranger Gene Page, and working with Motown producer Clarence Paul on Ronnie McNeir’s 1976 Motown debut, Love’s Comin’ Down, and he appeared in the picnic scene in the Bill Cosby – Sidney Poitier comedy classic Uptown Saturday Night...

<itunes:summary>LISTEN TO GLENN JONES UPCOMING BRAND NEW SINGLE "GIVE IT TIME" - ONLY ON SOULINTERVIEWS.COM!

For the few among us that don’t know, GLENN JONES has seen it all, conquered it all and done it all. Thank God for us that he is doing it all again!! Jones voice penetrates the soul thru music and lyrics. Once you’ve heard “Here I Go Again,” “We've Only Just Begun (The Romance Is Not Over)”, “Baby Come Home” “I’ve Been Searching” “Show Me” and “I Wonder Why,” chart topping hits from this gifted artist, there is no doubt that your soul has been touched. “Give it Time” the current single from the eagerly awaited album, will travel that same path to your soul. With his new CD from his own Record Label, GMG Records (Gensong Music Group) in conjunction with W K M Records, Jones continues to lay the groundwork for new and upcoming vocalist to follow.

The album has allowed Jones to assume creative control of his destiny while reuniting with some of his most trusted colleagues from his over 30 year journey in the music industry. “Give it Time” was written by Barry Eastmond and Gordon Chambers and produced by Barry Eastmond. This dynamic team wrote “I Apologize” for Anita Baker and Eastmond produced the song. Eastmond has produced for Brandy, Brittany Spears, Michael Bolton, Freddie Jackson and the late Whitney Houston. “Long Term” is produced by Barry Eastmond and was a collaborative written effort by Jones, Eastmond and Jolyon Skinner. “All Over You” was written by Bob Baldwin, Dennis Johnson and Zzoiea Ohizep, produced by Dennis Johnson and Bob Baldwin. “Everyday” was truly a family reunion for Jones. He co-wrote this with longtime friend Ross Vannelli, the song is produced by Marque Walker. Jones is joined on vocals by his wife, Genobia Jeter Jones and their niece, Y’anna Crawley. Y’anna is the 2012 Stellar Award Winner for Best New Artist; she is also the 2009 Winner of BET’s Sundays Best. This song also features background vocals by national recording artist Dave Hollister. The result is a smooth blend of family love, just wait until you get a taste of the flavor...

<itunes:summary>This multi-talented artist hails from Brooklyn, New York. Her musical career is rooted in the church where she developed her rich, soulful and intricate vocal abilities. Her formative years as a child were influenced by the musical prowess of her family where she was always in the mix of the entertainment industry and some of her mentors were the best musicians of all time.

At the age of seven Crystal recorded with Pink Floyd and the award winning Institutional Children’s Choir. At age 11, she landed the original lead role of “Doris Winter” in the smash hit and gospel classic, “Mama I Want To Sing”. Soon after she performed in the much acclaimed opera, “Porgy and Bess”, a Shakespeare In The Park Production with the Lincoln Philharmonic Orchestra, starring Theresa Merritt. Crystal then made her debut at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway, in the original production of “Gospel at Colonus” starring Morgan Freeman.

Crystal’s musical career as a singer, songwriter, producer, vocal coach and entrepreneur has served her well. She has musically collaborated with the likes of Usher Raymond, Angie Stone and Anthony Hamilton. Crystal has also appeared on the soundtrack “Who’s The Man” performing the self written/produced song, “Lovin You”. Other collaborations include Heavy D's #1 Billboard (Hip/Hop) smash "Got Me Waiting", Mobb Deep’s classic, “"Temperature’s Rising”" and also Pete Rock and CL Smooth “"I’ll Take You There"”. Crystal also worked with Lord Finesse and Dr. Dre on his multi-platinum “Chronic 2001” co-writing “"The Message”", a composition featuring Mary J. Blige and Rell...

<itunes:summary>L.J. Reynolds, who previously began to master his craft as the lead singer of the Relations and next with Chocolate Syrup, burst onto the scene in 1972 as the new lead singer of The Dramatics. The group had one album, (Whatcha' See is Whatcha Get, 1971) and two hit records (Whatcha' See is Whatcha Get and In the Rain) when L.J blended his powerful, dynamic vocals with sharp, rich Dramatics harmony. What ensued was a cascade of hits and fan favorites that include the top 10 'Fell For You' (A Dramatic Experience, 1973), 'And I Panicked' (Dramatically Yours, 1974), 'Door To Your Heart'(The Dells vs. The Dramatics, 1974), '(I'm Going By) The Stars In Your Eyes', 'Me And Mrs. Jones' (The Dramatic Jackpot, 1975), 'Just Shopping (Not Buying Anything)', 'Come Out Of Your Thing'(Drama V, 1975), 'Be My Girl', 'I Can't Get Over You' (Joy Ride, 1976), 'Do What You Wanna To Do', 'Stop Your Weeping' (Do What You Wanna To Do, 1978), 'That's My Favorite Song' (Any Time, Any Place, 1979), 'It Ain't Rainin' (On Nobody's House But Mine)', and 'Be With The One You Love' (10 ½, 1980) as well as countless others.

In 1980, L.J. Reynolds embarked on a solo career and released his first self titled album. The first single, 'Ain't No woman Like My Baby', was a smooth and sensual song. The second single release, 'Key to the World' (L.J. Reynolds, 1981) proved to be the biggest hit from the album and became his signature song. An international success transcending time and cultures, the song is embraced still today, the world over. L.J.'s own rendition of 'Call Me' (Travelin', 1982), previously recorded by Aretha Franklin, highlighted his ability to make a classic 'his own' and 'Touchdown' (Lovin' Man', 1984) climbed the charts and marked his growth and as a multiple instrument playing musician as well as a singer and songwriter...

<itunes:summary>After arriving in the U.S. in the mid-’70s, David Nathan established himself as one of the premier music journalists and historians working in the area of black music and culture. The author of the 1999 Billboard book, “The Soulful Divas,” the London-born soul man comments that, with his latest venture, “I’ve stepped up my game!” The renowned R&B expert and award-winning writer – known throughout the music industry and beyond as ‘The British Ambassador of Soul’ – is referring to the natural evolution of his career from journalist, liner notes writer, reissue producer, media coach, broadcaster and website owner (www.soulmusic.com) to singer, songwriter and now, record producer.

Nathan was the co-producer with musical partner Preston Glass of the 2009 Time Life album, “Songs 4 Worship-Soul,” which features new recordings by such artists as Teddy Pendergrass, Deniece Williams, Peabo Bryson, Regina Belle, Jody Watley, Freddie Jackson, Melba Moore, Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King and others – many of whom he has known since the start of their own recording careers. “Music is my first love, my lifeblood, my enduring passion. For years, I’ve been involved with writing about the artists, expressing my appreciation for their incredible and soulful talent. To be a part of creating music with them is the ultimate reward for me,” says Nathan “...

<itunes:summary>After entering the music industry with a #1 hit record, I Wish performed by Bad Boy recording artist Carl Thomas, songwriter and producer Michael Mike City Flowers proved his staying power in a big way. He boasts an impressive list of song credits and has worked with some of todays most talented artists including Kenny Babyface Edmonds, Usher, Brandy, Yolanda Adams, Gerald Levert, Kelly Price and Mary Mary. I brought something different to the table, says Mike, who describes his sound as warm, soulful and grimy. I came into the game with a fresh, new sound and wasnt influenced by what was happening right then.

Creating his own niche has truly paid off. After enjoying the success of I Wish, which stayed on top of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles & Tracks chart for six weeks and was #1 on Billboards Hot R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart for eleven weeks, Mike City quickly followed up with another R&B hit One Woman Man performed by DreamWorks recording artist Dave Hollister. The record enjoyed huge radio success and was a top ten Billboard R&B/Hip Hop single. His next success came from his protg, SoulLife/Atlantic recording artist Sunshine Anderson, whom he groomed and introduced to the music world with the hit womens anthem Heard It All Before. The song topped Billboards Hot R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart for five weeks, was a top five Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Single and a top twenty Hot 100/Pop single. Mike City topped the charts again with J Records recording artist Jimmy Cozier singing his smooth mid-tempo track Shes All I Got, which hit top five on Billboards R&B/Hip Hop Singles chart and top twenty on the Hot 100/Pop chart...

Playlist:

04 - Sunshine Anderson - Heard It All Before (Your Woman, 2001)
05 - Carl Thomas - Sweet Love (Conquer, 2011)
06 - El Debarge - Lay With You (Second Chance, 2010)

<itunes:summary>Reflected in his musical endeavors are more than twenty five years of dedication and passion to music, a passion that was ignited when Hubert’s father started teaching him to play the piano at the age of 12.

The culminations of his life experiences capture unyielding creativity and intensity with his diverse talents in all styles of music.

The list of artists with whom Hubert has worked is extensive and impressive. Even from the beginning of his professional career, Hubert caught the attention of established artists and musicians. Hubert has played, written, and/or recorded with artists such as: Roberta Flack, Miles Davis, Stephanie Mills, Madonna, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Norman Connors, Phyllis Hyman, The Spinners, Mtume, Gary Bartz, The Notorious BIG (the late Biggie Smalls) and Rakim (of Eric B. and Rakim) currently, Virtue, most notably.

Hubert’s most noted work, however, came out of eight-year collaboration with James “D Train” Williams: a five-album catalog for which Hubert was the founder, producer, co- writer/arranger, and keyboardist. The first album resulted in two number one hits and perennial dance classics, “Keep On” and “You’re the One for Me”. The follow-up albums produced R&B hits that are still currently being sampled and/or covered by today’s hip-hop, jazz, and gospel artists...

Playlist:

01 - Hubert Eaves III - Call To Awareness (Esoteric Funk, 1977)

<itunes:summary>Keyboardist/composer/producer/arranger David Frank is known as the founding father of electronic pop/R&B and half of the pioneering synth duo The System. Along with singer and partner Mic Murphy, they were best known for their innovative hits, the top ten R&B/dance hit “You Are In My System” and the number one R&B/number three pop classic “Don’t Disturb This Groove”. Frank’s post-System success includes songwriting/production/performance work on Christina Aguilera’s multiplatinum single,”Genie In A Bottle”. His genre’-spanning resume’ lists James Morrison, The Pussycat Dolls, OMAR, Jordin Sparks, Dream, Annie Lennox, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Phil Collins, Steve Winwood, Chaka Khan, Eric Clapton, Michael McDonald, Mick Jagger, Phoebe Snow, Keyshia Cole, Robert Palmer and many more.

As evidenced by his exhaustive discography, Frank helped lay the foundation for synth-based pop music sound that’s still in vogue today on the music charts and heard in numerous music software emulations.
