What's a podcast?
A podcast is a series of digital-media files which are distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and computers. The term podcast, like broadcast, can refer either to the series of content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also called podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.The term is a portmanteau of the words "iPod" and "broadcast", the Apple iPod being the brand of portable media player for which the first podcasting scripts were developed. Such scripts allow podcasts to be automatically transferred to a mobile device after they are downloaded.

Though podcasters' websites may also offer direct download or streaming of their content, a podcast is distinguished from other digital media formats by its ability to be syndicated, subscribed to, and downloaded automatically when new content is added, using an aggregator or feed reader capable of reading feed formats such as RSS or Atom.

What is a Pop-up Player?
The Soulinterviews.com  (Pop-up) Player is a "Listen link" which launches a player in a separate internet window. By using this, you can keep on listening to the interviews while browsing this website or accessing another.

It is taking a long time for the player to load. What's wrong?
We are working hard to deliver interviews with the highest possible quality. This includes both the content of our interviews and the sound quality. We therefore record and upload the interviews in 192 kbps, which is close to CD quality. If you have a slow internet connection, it might take a bit longer for you to "load" and download the interview.

How do I download the interviews?
Just "right-click" the link entitled "Download MP3" and select "Save link as" or "Save target as".

How often do you update Soulinterviews.com?
The team at Soulinterviews.com all have regular full-time jobs. We are doing this for the love of music. At this point our goal is to bring you new interviews every second week and other updates at least once a week.

Our goal is to blast out a regular newsletter in the near future. Hopefully this will be available by late summer/early autumn. Feel free to register, so that we can keep you informed, and we'll notify you as soon as we are set up.
