With influences like Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, John Mayer, and Joni Mitchell, it’s no wonder, the combination of his musical inspirations and his passion for writing and producing, has driven Bramble to manufacture an astounding body of work.

Growing up in a household that had a deep love for Motown, Brit Pop & Reggae, Bramble’s musical gifts were recognized and encouraged early on. At the tender age of 14, he was asked to join the popular R&B band, “Heatwave,” a group that achieved celebrity status after producing award-winning songs, “Always and Forever,” “Groove Line,” and “Boogie Nights.”

Rod Temperton recognized Bramble’s knack for writing great little tunes, Temperton quickly became his mentor and the rest is history.

With a chain of writing & production successes that speak for themselves, Bramble has shown that his skills are not limited to a specific genre of music. Contributing to very successful Country, Soul, R&B, Rock and Pop acts. Derek is currently working on several new productions, which we’re sure will add to his already impressive Tapestry of work.
