Happy New Year everyone! I hope you have enjoyed your holiday – a time to spend with your close friends and your family, but also a time for reflection.
As you have noticed, Soulinterviews.com is up and running again, with a new format. The main focus is still on the interviews, however! We have had an amazing evolution since the start on June the 30th in 2008. We increased the amount of visitors almost every day, very much thanks to all talented contributors who have worked for SI.com over the years. Things happens in life, and some things are out of our own control, meaning that we need to adapt to new situations. We have to prioritize what is important. Human relations and family will always be number one for me, even if music is my inspiration, and my fuel in life. Music has to be fun, and you know what happens to things that have turned from something positive to an stressful obligation. You loose the joy and you loose the passion. Interviews and radio are both very time consuming, and you really need to be structured in your private life to be able to have a hobby like that. There is, as said before, the family and friends as number one, but there is also a regular job an income you have to focus on, and pay attention to.
The new Soulinterviews.com is a result of some different life situations I have gone through the past two years, and a way for me to keep the site alive. To only feature my own material is no ”ego-thing”, it’s just a way for me to take control over the workload, and decide when things are to be published. You always have an obligation and a responsibility when you work with other people. This way of working reduces the amount of stress on myself during this period in my life.
But I am not all alone. My assistant Bonnie Cehovet is still around working 24/7 on different projects as always. I call her ”the lady that never sleeps”. She is a huge part in making things flow for me on Soulinterviews.com. She is the one dealing with most contacts regarding interview requests and incoming requests. Bonnie will also be responsible for our regular newsletter which we will start to blast any day now. Finally! I now I have said that since the start in 2008. So go register for the newsletter on top right of the start page. I also would like to welcome David Petersson to Soulinterviews.com, our webmaster extraordinary.
He is responsible for our new website. We have worked very close during the past two months designing the new website. He is extremely skilled, talented and structured and I am so very grateful to have met him, and to work with him. Also a very special thanks to my good friend and ex work-colleague Pelle Lindgren for the link to David. Before I end this first blog of the new year, I would like to send my special thanks out to the old team at Soulinterviews.com (who have contributed in one way or another) and wish you all a wonderful and successful new year.
